  • Request the restriction of processing of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.
  • Request the transfer of your personal information to another party. You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request for access is clearly unfounded or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with the request in such circumstances.

Automated decision-making

In some instances, our use of your personal information may result in automated decisions being taken (including profiling) that legally affect you or similarly significantly affect you.

Automated decisions mean that a decision concerning you is made automatically on the basis of a computer determination (using software algorithms), without our human review. E.g. we use automated decisions to enhance your experience with our websites. We have implemented measures to safeguard the rights and interests of individuals, whose personal information is subject to automated decision-making, by checking that all automated decisions benefit you as a user of our services.

When we make an automated decision about you, you have the right to contest the decision, to express your point of view, and to require a human review of the decision. You can exercise this right by contacting us via email to info@wegaw.com

Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information that we collect and process about you. The measures we use are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing your personal information. Specific measures we use include encrypting your personal information in transit.

International data transfers

Given that the Internet is a global environment, using it to collect and process personal data necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. This means for instance that data you pass to us may be processed outside the European Economic Area (such as the USA), although we will always take all reasonable steps to ensure adequate measures are in place to keep your data secure in line with the requirements of European data protection legislation (including by putting in place European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses or by transferring personal data to jurisdictions which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection, such as to the USA, if companies are signed up to the Privacy Shield scheme).

Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which you are resident. These countries may have data protection laws that are different to the laws of your country.

Our website servers are located in the Netherlands, our offices are based in Switzerland and Spain, and third party service providers and partners operate internationally – such as the USA. This means that when we collect your personal information we may process it in any of these countries or other countries.

However, we have taken appropriate safeguards to require that your personal information will remain protected in accordance with this Privacy Notice. These include implementing the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal information between our group companies, which require all group companies to protect personal information they process from the EEA in accordance with European Union data protection law(s).

We have implemented similar appropriate safeguards with our third party service providers and partners and further details can be provided upon request to info@wegaw.com
