We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been selected as one of the top 25 Clean Energy Generation start-ups of 2022 by Start Up Energy Transition.
More than 360 applications from 69 countries were received for the SET Award 2022 which the impressive line-up of prominent and influential industry expert jury members carefully reviewed before deciding to include Wegaw in the SET100 compilation.
The international jury for the Start Up Energy Transition spans across the energy, finance, and technology sectors and features world-class experts from the likes of Virgin Group, World Energy Council, Octopus Energy, MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI), as well as academic institutions, industry associations and numerous esteemed venture organisations. Each year, distinguished individuals select the best start-ups and celebrate successes and achievements at the official SET Award ceremony – which was held at the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue this year.

Alongside the most innovative and promising start-ups in Clean Energy Generation, to whom energy transition is a paramount component of their mission, the SET100 list also features companies championing Demand-side Innovation, Energy Distribution & Storage, Smart Mobility & Transportation and Quality Energy Access & SDG-7.
Since 2017, SET has released the SET100 list on an annual basis to showcase forward-thinking solutions. SET was founded as a global innovation platform in 2016 by the German Energy Agency (dena) with the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWk) and in cooperation with the World Energy Council. The Start Up Energy Transition Award, offers a fair and international competition opportunity to those who are focused on positively affecting global energy transition and climate change. To date, the award has seen 2,700+ entries from such entrepreneurs from more than 100 countries.
